Connect payment information across platforms. Allow Instagram users to quickly and safely access payment and delivery info stored on their linked Facebook accounts. Help them make informed decisions about their data.

Go with the flow. Use informative, economical language to help users link payment info when it’s needed most — during checkout. Highlight the value of this connected experience.

Growing conversions. A/B tests of our Connect flows show that users complete checkout more frequently during and after connecting their accounts.

Connect in Checkout

Connect targeted users with linked accounts who’d checked out on Facebook but hadn’t done so on Instagram. A bottom sheet interrupts the checkout form to extol the benefits of connecting payment info. Because this goes beyond autofilling information, we had to clearly state the implications of Connect.

Authentication & Confirmation

We added a variety of security checks to confirm connection of user payment info.

Disconnecting Payment Info

By principle, every connection you make can be undone. We gave special attention to the disconnect experience to ensure that users are making informed decisions.
