UX Strategy

The best UX designs are based on research, with a focus on meeting human needs through a product’s unique value. I’ve helped teams use design thinking to develop long-term product visions, and created roadmaps to make those visions a reality. My solutions use ongoing data, research, and iterative design to ensure products put people first. I’ve helped stakeholders understand UX decisions so they can become powerful advocates for design.

UX Team Leadership

Strong teams are built through trust, collaboration, growth, and recognition. I’ve managed multiple teams — recruiting the right talent, identifying their strengths, and connecting them with opportunities to own their strategic impact. I’ve helped foster inclusive, cross-discipline collaboration through education, facilitation, and constructive interventions. I believe people work best when they have the psychological safety to take risks and share openly.

Information ARchitecture

Underlying every well-designed digital experience is a system of information that ensures that the right content is delivered at the right time. I’ve developed taxonomies, content models and IA to drive site development and optimize content management. My favorite projects use the tools of information design to develop thoughtful, consistent, systems-level solutions. 

Content Design & UX Writing

As a Staff Content Designer, my experience spans the content continuum, from product, mobile and website design to interface copy, editorial strategy, content marketing, process design and operations. I’ve led structured discovery, in-depth audits, heuristics reviews, content workshops and user research. I’ve designed content offerings for multiple agencies, led content strategy teams, and directed solution development.

Inclusion & Diversity

We’ve made great strides in recognizing the need for inclusion, the power of diversity and the strengths of a neurodiverse workforce. Digital products, however, often fail to live up to these ideals. I’ve advocated for an expanded definition of accessibility and led localization research and quality efforts. I represented a11y for my teams at Facebook, and drove the implementation of personal pronouns into Google’s business products. I’ve worked to ensure that inclusivity is at the heart of every design effort.

Trust, Safety & Privacy

Privacy is a deeply personal value for users. Breaches of privacy can have devastating consequences. Companies have an ethical responsibility to protect user data and ensure informed consent for the use of that data. I’ve worked with legal, privacy, design and research to create consent moments and tools that put users in control. I’ve established company-wide privacy patterns and helped to educate stakeholders on satisfying increasingly strict data regulations while still meeting business goals.
